Dee Why Not Play Outdoor Ping Pong

You might be familiar with the Boat Shedsat Balmoral and Palm Beach. The good news is, a new venture has opened up at Shelly Beach in Manly and it’s a doozy. Arguably one of the best locations on the Northern Beaches, you won’t be disappointed – visiting is an experience whether you choose the kiosk or the café. The food’s a treat and the view just doesn’t get any better.

Located at Pittwater Rugby Park, 1472 Pittwater Road, Warriewood – this is the place to stock up on delicious local produce direct from the farm. Make a morning of it and stay for a coffee and a cake as well as a range of stores from fashion to homewares. There’s parking aplenty in front of the stadium and behind the pony club.

 

Arm Chairs and Coffee

Just a tiny hop away from Mona Vale Beach, this collective is the perfect fusion of café meets homewares. Whether you’re after a smoothie or a smorgasboard, this relaxed joint is a favourite among locals. When you’ve had your fill, browsing the beautiful things is a treat.

 

Curl Curl To Freshy Walk

A staple of the Northern Beaches, this marvellous meander follows the coastline from beach to beach. It’s a scenic bonanza whichever way you walk it. The best part is, it’s dog-friendly which means you and your pooch can pound the pathway together.

 

Paddle Board at Avalon

Don’t put off trying paddle boarding any longer. Take some time out to get standing on some of Pittwater’s most picturesque parts. Rent a board and learn yourself or let our qualified teachers lead you through the beginner-friendly enclosed waters. The lessons are family friendly and suitable for all ages.

 

Barrenjoey Lighthouse

The Barrenjoey Lighthouse proudly placed on Barrenjoey Headland marks Sydney’s most northerly point. If you’re feeling energetic, take the 1km walk up 91 metres to the top. Reward yourself with incredible views – look out over Palm Beach and all the way to Ettalong and beyond.

 

Ferry to the Basin

If you’re looking for a great day trip, get a ferry from the Palm Beach Wharf for the 45-minute trip across to The Basin. With toilet, showers, laundry and BBQs, there’s everything you need for the perfect picnic. If you just can’t tear yourself away, there’s camping sites available where you can wake up with the wallabies and goannas.

 

Get Ghostly at Q Station

The Quarantine Station dates back to 1833 where over 500 people died horrible deaths from Bubonic Plague, Spanish Flu, Smallpox and Typhus. It’s a hub of paranormal activity with hundreds of haunting stories. There’s a number of experiences to chose from including family tour, 15+ tours and extreme tours where you can camp out with our caspers.

 

Beer Tasting at 4Pines

Manly’s own 4 Pines Brewing Company has a bubbling great reputation for award winning beers. Because they brew onsite, there’s a weekdays tour for the brewing enthusiasts starting at 12.30pm which includes samplers. If beer’s not your thing, there’s a great seasonal menu available.
